I wrote this in the spirit of Pearl Jam and with a reference to Nirvana as well (All Apologies). I wanted to capture the angst of those bands and also their way with words - but this time I wanted to express those feelings from the female perspective. This is about realizing that as a woman - you will need to go through life WITHOUT the apologies you deserve. It's a difficult reality, but there's power in it. You can survive, and thrive, without them. Ashley Cox completely transformed this song and brought the emotion and power to new levels.
