I wrote this when I was part of the Acoustic Guitar Project, a group where you're given a guitar for one week and told to write a song with it. This came painfully, but when it did arrive, it happened so quickly. It's such a pure capture of realizing - you are everything you need. The more you try to be someone else, the worse you'll feel. Your light diminishes when you're pretending. Be real. Be the truth. Don't be an anchor to someone else. Embrace yourself and good things will follow.
