This song came to me quickly after a student showed me an alternate tuning used by Pheobe Bridgers. I sat down quickly and wrote this song about realizing how we all live so many lives within this one we're given. You see the same patterns and people, but the locations, jobs, relationships, etc. all change - and you change. The person I was 10 years ago is NOT who I am now. And the only thing we can do is be present and realize we're right where we need to be - right on time.

Also interesting - I used my great-grandfather's violin on this song, so it's as if that violin also has been given another life, too.

It's also dedicated to our friend Natalie who passed soon after I wrote this song and stopped by our house while I was writing it.
